~ The gestures of solidarity ~
At the beginning of this century, in all the countries of the world, and particularly in those of the Middle East, less developed, the notion of Social Security didn't exist. And nevertheless, the adversity didn't miss to beat(come) down on families, so pulling(entailing) a whole procession of sorrows, misfortunes and material difficulties, these last ones beating(coming) down most hard on the most discriminated families. My mother was among the first to be prevented(warned) when a sad event occurred, because it was often among the customers of dad. She(it) was a part of a ladies' small circle, having no official existence, but which showed itself every time it was necessary to carry(wear) help to persons in distress. Each of the ladies by being a part paid(poured) at first his(its, her) obole. Then, exits(releases) were organized, in which took a stand three or four ladies of the circle, who moved in all the village, going of very close, district by district. The oldest of them explained the object of its visit, and sought the generosity of the inhabitants. A small savings so established(constituted), which was put back(handed) to the tried(felt) family, and allowed him(her) to cross(exceed) the difficult moments, until around her, the blood relatives help him(her).
In all the dramatic circumstances of the life, in the district (such as the fires, the accidents or the others) the same kind(genre) of voluntary help(assistant) was practised, and brought a help and a comfort to the most unfortunate.
